BLEARY EYED WRECK

Philadelphia's Bleary Eyed release a second taste of their upcoming self-titled EP with the fuzzed out new single 'Wreck'. Occupying a similar space to other Philadelphian bands like Knifeplay and They Are Gutting A Body Of Water, on 'Wreck' Bleary Eyed mix acoustic guitars and poppy synth melodies with walls of fuzz, wailing feedback and glitched out electronics to create an frenetic evolution of shoegaze. Here the band describe the track in their own words and discuss its heavy subject matter, "'Wreck' lyrically, is a track that delves into themes about struggling family members and seeing sisters/brothers go through intense periods whether with relationships, drug use, ect. The song itself is a mix of fuzz and synth heavy pop that culminates in a chaotic ending of layers of fuzz, synth, drums, guitar." Bleary Eyed's self titled EP is set for release on March 10th on Born Losers Records and available for pre-order now, check out the video for 'Wreck' here. -Toby Evans-Jesra
